#2 From Your Garage

Here's the second submission for the From Your Garage features where you get to send in your car, photos and stories to share with everyone! This one is from Scott Flickinger and his KILLER Buick!

So my ‘63 Buick LeSabre is fairly rare. There were only 8328 model 4411 2-door sedans built. Most were hardtops not sedans. Also most were 4-doors.

This car has just under 80k original miles and was ordered in color code X Rose Mist with Sandlewood interior. All of the interior in the car is all original. The car has one repaint.

The license plate is NAILDR (Nailed her) because of the nailhead engine. The car is from Arizona and there is a skull made of white turquoise hanging from the rear view mirror. I chose the Billet Specialties Speedway wheels because they resemble a large version of a Buick sport wheel.

Engine is the original block a 401 nailhead Buick that has a 425 rotating assembly and has been bored with 10.25:1 compression, headers, electric exhaust cutouts, Offenhauser dual quad intake manifold, Edelbrock carbs and finned aluminum intake valley and valve covers.

Suspension was upgraded to air ride by Street Machinery in Euclid, Ohio. Jeff Jasik at Street Machinery modified the lower control arms to accommodate air springs and designed the shock mounts in order to allow the car to sit as low as possible when dropped. This was a huge task since this is not a Chevy and is completely different. There are no kits available to bolt on this car ! The car drives incredible, handles, corners and floats down the road !

Wheels are 20” x 8.5” front and 20” x 10” rear Billet Specialties Speedway’s

Owner: Scott & Kim Flickinger from Mentor, Ohio
